Job summary

Metropolis Technologies is seeking a Senior Central Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to architect, scale, and maintain our central cloud platform. You will drive modernization and integrate legacy systems into modern cloud-native environments, interfacing across engineering teams and guiding production-grade solutions.

The role requires deep cloud-native experience, strong collaboration, and a focus on security and reliability across both Linux and Windows environments.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years in cloud infra, or 8+ years in high-growth cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable cloud infra across multiple products.
• Design and manage infrastructure modernization (CI/CD, IaC, Kubernetes) and integrate legacy systems.
• Craft disaster recovery strategies and production-grade solutions to safeguard uptime.
• Serve as technical focal point for troubleshooting and bottleneck resolution across Linux and Windows.
• Ensure cloud environments meet PCI and SOC2 security guidelines and compliance.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and blameless postmortems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers to scale the team.
