Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company seeks a Senior Manager, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering & FinOps to lead strategy, delivery, and financial stewardship of our cloud environment across Azure, AWS, and AI-enabled services. You’ll shape governance, automation, and cost management while mentoring a high-performing team.

You’ll collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, Security, and Finance to drive modernization and responsible cloud investments that support global growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years leading cloud infrastructure or platform engineering in complex enterprises.
• 5+ years of people leadership developing engineers or managers.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, cloud operations, automation, and governance.
• Experience owning cloud financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and exec reporting.
• Experience driving cloud modernization, migration, or operating model improvements.
• Strong cloud architecture, networking, IAM, security controls, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud infrastructure engineering across Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Define and execute a cloud infrastructure roadmap for modernization and digital transformation.
• Partner with Architecture, Engineering, Security, and Finance to design secure, scalable, cost-efficient solutions.
• Build FinOps capabilities: cost visibility, forecasting, allocation, governance, and exec reporting.
• Advise engineering leaders on cloud architecture decisions, capacity planning, and cost management.
• Drive reliability, observability, automation, and operational excellence across platforms.
• Establish governance for AI-enabled infrastructure and AI services usage and costs.
• Champion Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, and tooling to improve quality and speed.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing engineering team; foster accountability.
• Manage relationships with cloud vendors and strategic partners to maximize value.
