Job summary

CNO Financial Group’s IT Team seeks a Sr. Cloud Infrastructure Architect to define and drive cloud strategy across Azure and AWS. You’ll own architecture governance, automate with IaC, and lead enterprise initiatives to modernize infrastructure with secure, scalable cloud delivery.

You will collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and business teams to ensure compliant, cost‑effective solutions while advancing multi‑region resilience and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years designing and implementing infrastructure or cloud solutions across cloud architecture, IaC, networking, IAM, platform engineering, and DevOps automation.
• Strong knowledge of Azure (required) and AWS (preferred) and cloud architecture principles including networking, IAM, and platform services.
• Solid knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) including host pools, FSLogix, autoscaling, networking and identity integration.
• Experience providing architectural oversight for managed service providers and review of solution designs, standards and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Design, govern, and evolve enterprise cloud platforms and services with IaC and CI/CD automation.
• Develop roadmaps, standards, and governance to modernize legacy tech into automated cloud environments.
• Architect and oversee cloud platform services including landing zones, identity, DNS, and hybrid connectivity.
• Collaborate across teams to align cloud solutions with enterprise standards and security policies.
• Partner with Security to establish secure-by-design cloud patterns and regulatory controls.
• Mentor engineers on cloud architecture and IaC practices.
