Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Senior Software Infrastructure Engineer to manage fleet operations and build automation for provisioning and reprovisioning servers with a strong focus on Infrastructure as Code. The role includes troubleshooting hardware, scaling operations, and moving toward Kubernetes deployments.

The ideal candidate will have solid hardware experience, a UNIX/Linux background, and proficiency in containerization tools and IaC (Python/Golang preferred).

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting GPUs and hardware failures.
• Strong Linux background with server provisioning knowledge.
• Familiarity with PXE, BIOS, and enterprise server management.
• Experience transitioning environments to Kubernetes and containerized workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain day-to-day operations of Crusoe’s cloud infrastructure.
• Develop automation tools to streamline server provisioning and reduce SLA times.
• Scale infrastructure to support mass deployments (80-100 servers simultaneously).
• Troubleshoot hardware issues, especially GPUs, and liaise with vendors.
• Transition Crusoe’s environment to Kubernetes and containerized workflows.
