Job summary

Innovative Defense Technologies, LLC (IDT) is seeking a Senior Cloud & Hybrid Network Engineer to design, deploy, and secure networking across DoD cloud and on-premise environments. You will bridge legacy and modern VM architectures with Kubernetes clusters and complex service mesh configurations.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, Azure-focused cloud networking, and a Secret clearance. On-site in Arlington, VA with strong collaboration across engineering and security teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of full-time professional experience.
• Cloud platforms in government/classified regions (Azure preferred).
• Knowledge of virtual networking (VNETs/VPCs), VPNs, peering, and multi-network connectivity.
• Experience with Kubernetes networking (CNI, LoadBalancers, Network Policies).
• Experience integrating legacy VM/hypervisor environments with modern cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement secure cloud networking across IL-5 (CUI) and IL-6 (Secret) environments.
• Configure on-premise systems to mirror cloud environments and connect to cloud providers.
• Design and manage virtual networks linking legacy/heritage VMs with cloud deployments.
• Configure Kubernetes networking and service mesh connectivity across isolated systems.
• Support cross-domain security and data flow between unclassified, CUI, and classified environments.
• Collaborate on modernization of tactical systems to microservices and cloud-native deployments.
