Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, and test full-stack components and APIs across enterprise systems. You will mentor engineers, influence architecture, and drive cloud-native modernization using GCP or similar platforms.

Collaboration with product, QA, and operations teams will be key to delivering scalable solutions. The role emphasizes scalable design, automation, and adherence to security best practices, with travel up to 10% and eligibility for a Public

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree or additional Four(4) years of exp in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 6 years of software engineering experience.
• Expertise in enterprise software design, implementation, and deployment.
• Proficiency with JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
• Strong programming experience in Java, including Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
• Experience working in a Scrum-based development environment.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Bamboo or Jenkins, Bitbucket (Git), and Confluence.
• Proficiency with JSON, YAML, and XML.
• Experience developing distributed, modular system architectures (Microservices, SOA).
• Cloud development experience and familiarity with GCP-native security controls.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL data stores.
• Experience using Postman to test web services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test full-stack components including APIs, backends, and UIs.
• Collaborate with product management to translate requirements into technical designs and estimates.
• Build interfaces using Microservices and automation as part of modernization.
• Define, implement, and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
• Work with engineering, QA, and Systems teams to improve the development pipeline.
• Provide technical leadership across feature teams and mentor engineers.
• Lead modernization initiatives and ensure cloud-native standards are followed.
• Bridge product, engineering, and platform teams as a senior technical point-of-contact.
• Identify bottlenecks and architectural gaps in distributed systems.
