Job summary

Guidehouse seeks an experienced technology leader to guide cloud-native solutions on AWS, lead full-stack teams, and shape architecture for scalable distributed systems.

You will work with clients and cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, drive architectural standards, and shape proposals for modernization initiatives across multiple programs.

The role combines hands-on engineering with leadership, requiring AWS, Python/JavaScript, Django, Vue.js, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship or Green Card status is required.
• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD PUBLIC TRUST; approval prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 6 years of full-stack development with at least 4 years in leadership/architecture.
• Minimum of 5 years developing on AWS.
• Experience leading teams and delivering frontend/backend services for cloud-native software using Python, JavaScript, Django, Vue.js.
• Proven proficiency in Python and JavaScript; lead teams of 5+ developers.
• Django preferred; Vue.js preferred; React/Angular as alternatives.
• Experience with microservices, API design, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, serverless, enterprise apps.
• Familiarity with AWS SAM; Well-Architected Framework; ability to design cloud-based software.

Responsibilities

• Support client projects, growth initiatives, and capability development across Guidehouse teams.
• Lead modernization team, mentoring full-stack development teams and providing architectural oversight.
• Lead solution architecture for scalable, secure distributed systems on AWS with microservices and API-first design.
• Collaborate with UX designers, product owners, and developers to design, build, test, and deploy software.
• Define architecture standards, roadmaps, and best practices aligned with AWS Well-Architected.
