Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking a Cloud FinOps Architect (AWS) to lead cloud financial strategy and governance for AWS-based environments, with optional Azure/GCP support. You will build automated guardrails, improve forecasting, and enable cost visibility across Engineering, Finance, and Product teams.

The role involves designing allocation models, billing data pipelines, and anomaly detection, using Python and Terraform to automate ETL workflows and enforcement of guardrails.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in IT/cloud environments with hands-on FinOps experience.
• Deep expertise in AWS billing, pricing models, and cloud financial management.
• Experience turning cost data into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement tagging taxonomies and cost allocation models.
• Optimize AWS Savings Plans, RI usage, and other discounts.
• Develop billing data pipelines, showback/chargeback, and forecasting.A
• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Product and exec stakeholders.
