Job summary

SMX is seeking a Solution Architect who can partner with technical teams to document the design and implementation of secure, open-architecture solutions. You will produce comprehensive architecture models and guidance across the full software development lifecycle.

The role requires cloud expertise, experience migrating data to cloud environments, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers. A Top Secret clearance and AWS certification are preferred, with a focus on DevSecOps and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a solution architect or related role.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• AWS certification.
• Experience across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Deep familiarity with cloud architecture, including hybrid multi-cloud target architectures and operating models.
• Experience with data migration from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Experience with AI code conversion and GenAI-related code quality tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, interfacing with customers.
• Self-starter who is detail-oriented and can work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to document high-quality technological solutions and architecture models.
• Document system designs featuring open architecture and modularity for secure cloud environments.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to development teams throughout the SDLC.
• Write comprehensive design, sizing, and operational documentation.
• Analyze existing project scopes to recommend improvements.
• Leverage DevSecOps principles and stay current with new technologies and third-party applications.
