Job summary

SMX is seeking a Solution Architect to collaborate with technical teams to document design and implementation of high-quality solutions and architecture models. The role emphasizes documenting secure cloud environments, modular open architectures, and coordinating across teams for technical alignment.

The candidate will write comprehensive design documents, analyze project scopes for improvements, and apply DevSecOps practices while staying current with new technologies and third-party tools.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional experience in a solution architect or related role.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• AWS certification.
• Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Deep familiarity with cloud architecture and hybrid multi-cloud operating models.
• Experience with data migration from on-prem to cloud.
• Experience with GenAI code quality tools.
• Excellent communication skills with customers.
• Detail-oriented with minimal supervision and quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Document high-quality architectural solutions and models with open architecture and modularity.
• Document system designs for secure cloud environments.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams throughout the SDLC.
• Write comprehensive design, sizing, and operational documentation.
• Analyze project scopes to identify improvements and efficiencies.
• Leverage DevSecOps principles and stay current with new technologies.
