Job summary

Rearc is seeking an experienced cloud engineer to help customers transform their infrastructure in AWS. You will design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK, uphold security and compliance, and optimize CI/CD pipelines across Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and CodePipeline.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and IaC tooling.
• Hands-on with AWS CDK, Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of security best practices including IAM, encryption, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer infrastructure and provide guidance to improve cloud setup, security, automation, and developer experience.
• Aid in migrating workloads to secure, cloud-native architectures.

What You Bring

• Strong expertise in compute, storage, networking, and security services, along with cloud-native best practices on AWS.
• Hands-on experience building cloud infrastructure with AWS CDK, and familiarity with other IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of cloud security fundamentals - IAM, network security, encryption, and compliance best practices.
• Experience supporting application migration or modernisation efforts, moving workloads to cloud-native architectures.
• Comfort engaging directly with customers to understand requirements and recommend solutions.
• Proficient in writing and testing code using high-level programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
• Skilled in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CodePipeline.
• Familiarity with containers and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
• A thirst for knowledge and a passion for continuous learning.
• Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.

What You’ll Do

• Support application migration projects, helping move legacy or on-prem workloads to secure, cloud-native solutions.
• Design, develop, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK, upholding security and cloud computing best practices.
• Design, develop, and manage CI/CD pipelines for deploying customers’ applications to cloud infrastructure.
• Contribute to customer - facing engagements, helping scope requirements and shape architecture recommendations.
• Help identify and remediate security gaps in customer cloud environments.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
• Share knowledge and insights with Rearc engineers, customer engineers, and the broader community.
