Job summary

Rearc is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to drive cloud modernization for enterprise clients, delivering secure, scalable cloud-native solutions from legacy systems.

You will own end-to-end migrations, implement IaC with AWS CDK, and guide teams through design reviews, security assessments, and client presentations.

The role requires 10+ years in cloud/DevOps, a CS/IT degree, strong containerization skills, and the ability to mentor engineers while contributing to our knowledge culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, DevOps, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, supporting your hands‑on experience.
• Hands-on AWS CDK experience and familiarity with IaC tools and best practices.
• Designing and implementing cloud security controls (IAM, network, encryption, compliance).
• Experience leading migration and modernization to cloud-native architectures.
• Experience in solutions engineering: scoping needs, designing architecture, presenting to stakeholders.
• Strong containerization and orchestration knowledge.
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to thoroughly understand their requirements and challenges, enabling the development of tailored, high‑quality enterprise solutions for Fortune 100 customers.
• Take ownership of end-to-end application migration and modernization engagements, architecting secure, scalable cloud‑native solutions from legacy or on‑premises systems.
• Implement solutions using a GitOps mindset, AWS CDK, and other IaC tools, working with modern programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Lead security reviews of customer cloud environments, designing and deploying controls to identify, prioritize, and mitigate risks.
• Serve as a primary technical advisor during customer engagements, scoping requirements and presenting architecture recommendations directly to stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor project teams, providing technical direction and delivery oversight to ensure successful completion of key initiatives.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge to support their professional growth and development.
• Contribute to Rearc’s knowledge‑sharing culture by writing blogs and articles, fostering continuous learning and enhancing your personal and company brand.
