Apple Inc. is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer for the Wallet, Payments and Commerce (WPC) Cloud Engineering team in Austin.

You will own key platform capabilities end-to-end, drive multi-quarter initiatives, and elevate security, reliability, and developer experience across our cloud ecosystem. You will mentor engineers and collaborate with security, SRE, and product partners to ship production-grade solutions.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering with production ownership.
• Experience building platform-as-a-product for internal developers.
• Deep Kubernetes and multi-cluster, multi-region ownership.
• Infrastructure as Code with Crossplane and Terraform at scale.
• Security-first architecture with Policy as Code (Kyverno/OPA).
• Public cloud expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure, and when to use services.
• GitOps and CI/CD with Flux, Jenkins, Kargo for declarative delivery.
• Strong networking fundamentals and cross-region debugging skills.
• Linux internals and systems-level troubleshooting.
• Microservices with fault-tolerance and distributed systems design.
• Experience with Istio/Traefik/Linkerd and observability stacks.

• Own end-to-end design and delivery of platform capabilities.
• Set technical direction on multi-quarter cloud initiatives.
• Architect platform-as-a-product and enable internal developers.
• Implement security-first patterns and policy controls.
• Utilize open-source and in-house tooling to scale the platform.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through design reviews.
• Scale technologies to meet growth and production adoption.
• Collaborate with cross-organization teams to align strategy.
• Advocate advanced cloud and DevOps practices across WPC.
