Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Cloud Engineer Sr Principal to design, implement, and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure for a DoD customer in Chantilly, VA. The role emphasizes secure, scalable cloud solutions across multi-cloud environments and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in cloud engineering, experience with AWS and Azure, RHEL administration, and strong IaC, security, and monitoring skills.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
Experience: 10+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
Technical skills: AWS & Azure hybrid/multi-cloud, RHEL admin, IaC, networking, containers/orchestration/serverless, cloud security, monitoring/logging.
Security clearance: TS/SCI with Poly (or eligibility).
US citizenship required.
DoD 8570 IAT II Certification.

Responsibilities

Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
Lead design of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, optimize for cost and efficiency.
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
