Trane Technologies is currently seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join a high-impact, forward-thinking infrastructure team dedicated to scaling our global cloud footprint. In this role, you will bridge the gap between architectural vision and hands-on execution across major cloud environments. You will collaborate closely with software engineering, security, and product teams to build highly available, secure, and cost-optimized platforms.

What you will do:
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure solutions across enterprise cloud environments.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain robust IaC scripts using tools like Terraform to ensure consistent and automated environment provisioning.
  • CI/CD Automation: Build, optimize, and manage deployment pipelines to support rapid, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) for engineering teams.
  • Backend Integration: Support application development and environments working closely with microservices and serverless components, with a strong focus on Node.js runtimes.
  • Observability & Reliability: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using industry-standard cloud suites or third-party observability tools.
  • Cost & Performance Optimization: Audit cloud resource utilization to proactively implement cost-saving measures without sacrificing operational performance.
What you will bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical industry experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of dedicated experience in production-level cloud engineering, DevOps, or system administration configurations.
  • Cloud Ecosystems: Hands-on experience deploying, monitoring, and managing production workloads within a major public cloud environment (such as AWS or GCP).
  • Application Stack: Strong proficiency with backend development and scripting tools, specifically including Node.js and its ecosystem ecosystem alongside languages like Python or Bash.
  • Automation Tools: Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code frameworks (specifically Terraform) and version control workflows.
  • Containers & Microservices: Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $99,750.00 - $139,335.00 Compensation Type: Salary Incentive Eligible: No Sales Commission Eligible: No Disclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors. The actual compensation will depend on elements such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation. Our compensation range is generally based on the national average for the country.
