Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a skilled software engineer to build cloud-based solutions and services for application teams. You will deploy, configure, scale, and monitor applications, participate in peer reviews, and ensure production readiness through robust testing and proactive monitoring.

You will work within an Agile environment, collaborate with technology partners, and help implement patterns that strengthen infrastructure and security.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field.
• 60 months of progressive post-Bachelor’s experience in a related occupation.
• Experience must include 24 months with cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP) and IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation).
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, GitLab).
• Programming/scripting with Python, Shell, Bash or Golang.
• Compute/Container services such as VMs, Docker, Kubernetes; Troubleshooting in cloud using CloudWatch.

Responsibilities

• Build cloud-based solutions/modules for application teams to deploy, manage, configure, scale and supervise applications.
• Participate in peer reviews to ensure code quality and best practices; implement robust testing procedures.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies to influence software delivery, provisioning infrastructure and security agents.
• Support daily system monitoring; respond to incidents and remediate problems.
• Collaborate with technology partners to ensure cross-team alignment and production readiness.
