Job summary

MITRE is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to drive cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and secure, scalable solutions across sponsor projects. You will mentor engineers, lead cloud deployments, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to implement cutting‑edge cloud architectures.

The role requires substantial experience with cloud platforms, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines, with a preference for strong programming skills and active U.S. security clearances. On-site collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

Typically requires 8+ years with a Bachelor’s or 6+ with a Master’s, or 3+ with a PhD in CS/CE or related field.
Experience with one or more public cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Ability to design and implement cloud-based solutions and contribute to architecture.
Experience leading cloud-based DevOps and CI/CD initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead identification and resolution of infrastructure vulnerabilities and deployment issues.
Review existing systems and provide actionable improvement recommendations.
