Job summary

CACI is seeking a driven, AWS‑focused Cloud Engineer to design and automate modern AWS infrastructure, build resilient cloud platforms, and strengthen operational reliability across mission‑critical systems in Chantilly, VA.

You will partner with security, DevOps, and application teams to engineer scalable, secure cloud solutions and drive cloud adoption initiatives in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph security clearance.
• 5+ years of cloud/infrastructure engineering experience.
• Proficient with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Experience with IaC, Terraform, and automation pipelines.
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for security, scale, and performance.
• Build IaC using Terraform with modular design, versioning, and automation patterns.
• Create, refine, and maintain reusable Terraform modules that elevate team velocity.
• Develop automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline infra releases.
• Continuously monitor system performance, availability, cost efficiency, and health.
• Lead and support migration, modernization, and cloud adoption initiatives.
• Partner with application, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to deliver robust services.
• Automate manual processes to improve reliability and reduce time‑to‑deploy.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infra issues with root cause analysis.
• Define and uphold cloud governance standards and IaC best practices.
