Red Alpha is seeking a Cloud Engineer in Maryland to design, deploy, and optimize enterprise cloud environments across AWS and hybrid setups. You will implement scalable architectures, manage containerized deployments, and support secure governance for tenant workloads while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

The role requires 5+ years of solid software engineering experience, and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy an enterprise NOC/SOC in an AWS Landing Zone.
• Design, build, and deploy a secure cloud environment.
• Support the migration of their Training Environment in the AWS Landing Zone. This includes deploying multiple containerized software solutions from 3rd party vendors, maintaining EKS clusters, and establishing hybrid networking between on‑prem and cloud deployments.
• Develop and implement a containerized Landing Zone solution, establishing governance and a secure governance framework for tenant workload management.
