Job summary

The Marlin Alliance, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Engineer III to design, build, and sustain secure cloud infrastructure across compute, storage, Kubernetes, and networking for mission-critical systems.

You will collaborate with software, platform, network, cybersecurity, and systems teams to integrate commercial and government software into cohesive cloud environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and secure operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, administering, troubleshooting, and sustaining cloud-based compute, storage, networking, and application infrastructure.
• Experience administering Linux-based systems and addressing performance issues.
• Experience deploying containerized apps using Docker, containerd, Kubernetes, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and sustain production cloud infrastructure for compute, storage, networking, and containerized workloads.
• Manage cloud resources to maintain availability, persistence, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Deploy and optimize Kubernetes-based apps and microservices across environments.
• Implement dynamic resource management, scaling, and cost controls across cloud and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate various software into cohesive cloud workflows.
• Implement monitoring, logging, metrics, alerting, and health telemetry across all layers.
• Configure cloud networking, security groups, subnets, and load balancers for secure connectivity.
• Work with cybersecurity to enforce hardening, least-privilege, IAM controls, and baselines.
• Automate provisioning and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
• Provide guidance and troubleshooting across cloud, Linux, Kubernetes, and network domains.
