Job summary

Zebra is seeking a hands-on Cloud Engineer to lead the most complex cloud infrastructure challenges across multi-cloud environments and to drive automation, architecture design, and security standards. You will collaborate with IT, security, data engineering, and business teams to align cloud solutions with organizational goals.

The role emphasizes mentoring engineers, adherence to SLAs, disaster recovery planning, and cost optimization while delivering scalable, reliable cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles, with at least 2-3 years in advanced cloud-native development or architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of complex cloud infrastructure issues as escalation point.
• Enhance automation and scripting for routine deployment and configuration tasks.
• Create and maintain design/architectural artifacts and ensure standardization.
• Monitor and secure cloud environments following least privilege and zero trust principles.
• Manage access control, data integrity, and file system security in cloud data centers.
• Optimize cloud costs with FinOps practices and ensure cost visibility.
• Develop and enforce best practices for architecture, deployment, monitoring, and security.
• Document technical workflows and procedures; mentor junior/senior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs and industry best practices; disaster recovery planning.
