The Opportunity

CACI is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team supporting the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Headquarters, Chief Technology Officer Directorate (CTOD), Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology (AI/ET) initiative. This team works with federal staff on high-visibility AI initiatives including Generative AI solutions.

Ideal candidates will have a strong technical background in setting up, configuring, and scripting cloud services and infrastructure, especially in agile teams developing cloud-based AI/GenAI applications. Experience with cloud architecture frameworks and deploying GenAI solutions like Azure OpenAI is highly desirable. A passion for AI technologies and a proven track record in cloud application development should be highlighted in your resume.

This position is eligible for remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Design, engineer, operate, and optimize cloud-native services and infrastructure based on well-architected frameworks (Azure and AWS)
  • Configure and maintain solutions to monitor cloud infrastructure health and performance
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevSecOps solutions for automation and development velocity
  • Collaborate proactively with clients and team members in a professional manner
  • Implement RAG architectures and other AI-focused system architectures
Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain DHS Entry On Duty (EOD); active EOD preferred
  • MA/MS and 12 years’ experience or BA/BS and 15 years applicable experience
  • Experience analyzing complex problems and developing reliable cloud solutions
  • Expertise in Azure Cloud, AWS a plus
  • Proficiency in scripting languages: Terraform, Python, JavaScript, BASH, PowerShell, SQL, YAML, JSON
  • Experience with DevSecOps/CICD pipelines and infrastructure automation
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights
  • Experience with AI/ML/GenAI, including RAG architectures
  • Experience in Agile development environments
  • Strong communication skills in cross-functional teams

Desired:

  • Experience with Azure OpenAI, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS Bedrock APIs
  • Certifications such as Azure Solution Architect, AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer
  • Experience with AI/ML solutions, predictive analytics, and working remotely
  • Understanding of Data Science principles

Pay Range
