Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. seeks a Senior Architect to design and deliver scalable, reliable software for Akamai's Connected Cloud and global network.

You will partner with product management and engineering to shape solutions aligned with Akamai's strategy, present visions to cross-functional teams, and define standards for testing, security and deployment in a Unix/Linux environment.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience in software or system architecture.
• Proven track record in distributed systems design and scalable, secure solutions.
• Ability to present architectural designs to cross-functional teams.
• Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle in Unix/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Describe and design solutions aligned with Akamai's strategy and roadmap.
• Present architectural designs and technical visions to internal cross-functional teams.
• Define and implement standards for systems design, development, testing and QA practices.
• Design reliable, scalable, highly available software to meet business needs.
• Conduct research on emerging trends and technologies related to network operations and automation.
