Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Senior Professional Services Engineer to help customers install, migrate to, configure, and adopt GitLab through technical delivery, training, and advisory services. You will work on architectures from single-node Linux installs to large reference setups using infrastructure as code and configuration as code.

You’ll collaborate with Product and Engineering to identify the best path to customer success, deliver migration plans, and support engagements with quoting and scoping.

Qualifications

• Proficient with infrastructure as code or configuration as code tech: Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Puppet, Chef.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer goals using a consultative approach.
• Install, migrate, configure, and adopt GitLab in customer environments.
• Develop migration plans for version control systems and data.
• Provide remote or on-site technical training and guidance.
• Create artifacts, templates, and scripts for service delivery and customer workflows.
• Communicate opportunities, risks, and status to project teams.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve GitLab features and processes.
• Support quotes and scoping with Engagement Managers.
