Job summary

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Lead Engineer to guide a mission-critical government program focused on secure cloud software development and DevSecOps modernization. You will lead a cross-disciplinary engineering team and drive secure architecture in Azure environments.

The role requires strong leadership, government program experience, and a Top-Secret clearance. You will collaborate across mission systems and networking teams while working in a fast-paced, classified setting.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, or related field.
Experience leading software/DevSecOps teams on gov/defense programs.
Proficiency with GitLab and Artifactory; strong Azure knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team delivering cloud-native software capabilities.
Architect, develop, and maintain systems in secure cloud environments, primarily Azure.
Oversee DevSecOps pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Artifactory.
Coordinate with aircraft platform groups and mission systems teams for integration.
Define secure development practices aligned with government cybersecurity standards.
Spend 50% onsite in SCIF environments and drive technical roadmaps.
Mentor junior developers and ensure compliance with security controls.
