Job summary

Northrop Grumman is hiring a Principal/Senior Principal Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and automate AWS and Azure environments in support of NASIC workloads at Wright-Patterson AFB. You will lead Infrastructure as Code, security practices, and CI/CD pipelines while ensuring compliance with DoD RMF and STIG requirements.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, a STEM degree (Bachelor’s with 5+ years or Master’s with 3+ years), and hands-on cloud experience, including IaC, DevSecOps, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience for Principal Cloud Engineer, or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Active Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, software development, or systems administration.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale secure AWS and Azure landing zones and shared services for NASIC workloads.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible) and Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply least-privilege access, centralized logging, auditing, and automated backups across cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cyber, networking, and application teams to meet DoD STIG/RMF requirements.
• Mentor and collaborate with other engineers to drive adoption of DevSecOps practices.
