Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Architect III - Cloud, DevOps, and SRE to partner with internal IT teams to design and implement critical outcomes in the Cloud, DevOps, and SRE domains, enabling Digital Solutions delivery at a national level.

The role leads architecture strategy, collaborates with cloud experts to harden deployments, builds Terraform templates, automates blue/green deployments, and guides SRE practices, monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the areas of Application Development, Site Reliability Engineering, Systems/Automation Engineering, or Cloud Application Architecture experience required.
• Direct experience in designing/implementing technically diverse application and infrastructure architectures within large-scale enterprise environments is required, preferably in healthcare IT.
• Experience in many disciplines/areas of IT & Application Delivery including Cloud-based Application Design, Architecture, and Development, Event/Message Streaming Technologies, Monitoring & Observability Tooling/Practices, Relational & Non-Relational Databases, Frontend & Backend Development Practices/Patterns, Infrastructure Code, DevOps Practices, IT Service Management Principles, IT Controls Best Practices in a Regulated/Sensitive Environment, Test Automation workflows & tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive partnerships with internal Cloud, DevOps, Security, and Site Reliability Engineering organizations to enable Digital Solutions delivery teams.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration with Business & Product Leaders, IT Leaders, and teams within the IT organization.
• Partner with peers to promote architecture principles, standards, methods, and strategic direction for the enterprise.
• Work with internal cloud experts to harden cloud service deployments used by Digital projects.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering/Platform team to build cloud infrastructure templates using Terraform.
• Lead the development of blue/green deployment tooling and processes.
• Coordinate with DevOps to implement standards and enhancements to pipelines and automation.
• Define automated rollback strategies with Digital application owners.
• Create integrations between Agile tools and VCS for automated release documentation.
• Lead alignment, strategy, and delivery of context-based Site Reliability Engineering for Digital products.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance with metrics reporting.
• Collaborate with SRE teams to implement alerting, monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning.
