Job summary

Tenet3 seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong IaC and automation background to support our client’s cloud initiatives. You will build resilient CI/CD pipelines, optimize cloud network topologies, and maintain proactive observability across environments.

The ideal candidate is an automation-driven systems thinker who bridges development and IT operations to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available systems. This hybrid role is based in Dayton, Ohio, and requires U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience.
• Experience with multi-environment or hybrid setups.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for repeatable and secure cloud deployments.
• Build, maintain, and refactor CI/CD pipelines to accelerate feature delivery, minimize risk, and reduce technical debt.
• Configure and manage observability tools, dashboards, and proactive alerting to detect and resolve issues.
• Respond to production issues, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to incident postmortems.
• Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure design with application requirements.
• Document technical designs, runbooks, and standard operating procedures to ensure team alignment.
• Participate in sprint planning and advocate for automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Utilize Cloud & DevOps skills to design, provision, and maintain core cloud network topologies and troubleshoot connectivity across multi-environment setups.
• Enhance secrets management, access controls, and audit IAM roles/policies for least-privilege access in collaboration with security engineers.
• Improve visibility into cloud resource utilization and cost to support budget-aware engineering decisions.
