Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company is seeking a senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automated deployment pipelines across Linux environments and multi-system CD tools. You will lead cloud strategy, architecture, and automation while mentoring teams on IaC, CI/CD, and secure cloud operations.

The role requires 12+ years IT experience with cloud engineering, 5+ years on vendor platforms, and hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional level cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, OCI, or Google Cloud.
• 12+ years IT experience with cloud engineering, including 5+ years on one or more vendor platforms.
• 5+ years experience debugging Microsoft Windows or Linux in an admin/support/engineering capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead configurations to meet program and customer needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams for deployment and cloud enhancements.
• Provide oversight on cloud strategies and lead cloud projects.
• Serve as SME in cloud solutions and provide advanced engineering support for internal groups and customers.
• Develop network, storage, and compute design specs for stable, secure cloud operations.
• Develop cloud service strategies: IAM, Security Groups, and CSP native services.
• Participate in migration planning and lead infrastructure deployments.
• Train team on IaC, CI/CD, architecture reviews, and standardization of cloud infrastructure.
• Translate high-level objectives into detailed technical requirements.
• Validate operational requirements with project teams, management, and client services groups.
• Approve and refine documentation for cloud best practices.
