Job summary

SAP is seeking a skilled Cloud Development Operations Engineer to join our cloud platform team in the United States. You will design and implement infrastructure as code with Terraform, manage AWS resources, and ensure scalable, secure cloud deployments.

Gardener Kubernetes experience and strong scripting skills are essential. The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering and operations, building robust CI/CD pipelines, and staying current with cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cloud Development Operations Engineer or similar role.
• Deep expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM.
• Experience with Gardener Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like ArgoCD or GitLab CI/CD.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based systems.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to define and implement best practices for cloud-based deployments.
• Manage and optimize AWS resources, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, and VPCs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, tools, and best practices.
• Deploy and troubleshoot Gardener Kubernetes landscapes.
