Job summary

SAP SE is seeking a skilled Cloud Development Operations Engineer to design and run infrastructure as code with Terraform on AWS. You will optimize resources, implement CI/CD pipelines, and manage Gardener Kubernetes environments in a fast‑paced cloud setting.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, strong scripting in Python/Bash/PowerShell, and excellent collaboration and communication skills. This is a full‑time on‑site position based in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cloud Development Operations Engineer or a similar role.
• Deep expertise and knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM.
• Experience with Gardener Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like ArgoCD or GitLab CI/CD.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of cloud‑based systems.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to define and implement best practices for cloud‑based deployments.
• Manage and optimize AWS resources, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, and VPCs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure‑related issues.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest cloud technologies, tools, and best practices.
• Deploy and troubleshoot Gardener Kubernetes landscapes.
