SAP SE in Reston, VA is seeking an Expert DevOps Engineer for the Platform Engineering Team. The role combines architecture, automation, and leadership to build, harden, and operate Sovereign Cloud environments used as references by regional operations.

You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and security teams to drive scalable cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP, with a focus on Gardener and BTP components. Hybrid work Model in Reston, three days in the office.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, engineering or similar.
• 10+ years of experience in DevOps or a similar role.
• Proficiency with Git, Terraform, Kubernetes and automation tools.
• Deep cloud experience across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using cloud services and automation tools.
• Deliver high-quality code in Python, Go, and Bash.
• Design and orchestrate cloud solutions on Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Implement advanced cloud security measures for customer data protection.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and security teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote learning and innovation.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
