Job summary

Valiant Technologies LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer in Houston to design and automate cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP. You will build reusable IaC modules, create robust CI/CD pipelines, and manage RAG/knowledge pipelines, ensuring secure, scalable, and observable environments.

The role emphasizes Terraform-driven automation, IAM and secrets management, and cost optimization while collaborating with architects and data engineers on reusable deployment patterns.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in DevOps or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on Terraform experience on AWS and GCP.
• Proven ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of AWS and GCP provisioning and operations.
• Experience with IAM, secrets management, networking, and cloud security.
• Familiarity with cloud landing zones and IaC best practices.
• Exposure to vector databases, search indexes, and RAG/knowledge pipelines is a plus.
• Experience with Google Vertex AI and AWS Bedrock infrastructure is preferred.
• AWS DevOps/SysOps or Google Cloud DevOps certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Terraform-based IaC across AWS and GCP.
• Automate cloud provisioning, networking, IAM, secrets management, and logging.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for controlled deployment of pre-built packages.
• Provision infrastructure for RAG and knowledge pipelines, including document stores and vector DBs.
• Implement environment creation, updates, backups, snapshots, and teardown processes.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, logging, and dashboards for operational readiness.
• Manage cloud security through IAM policies, secrets managers, and audit logging.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to translate designs into reusable modules.
• Optimize cloud costs via budgets, tagging, and idle-environment management.
