Job summary

Modern Campus is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable AWS infrastructure. You will own infrastructure projects end-to-end, from design through production handoff, while collaborating with Development and Security to modernize applications and reduce manual toil.

You will contribute to platform reliability, build automation, and maintain deployment pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Argo CD.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of infrastructure experience and five+ years in automation-focused roles.
• Strong hands‑on production Kubernetes experience with AWS (EKS) preferred.
• Proficient in Terraform, CI/CD tooling, and Linux administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate AWS infrastructure including production workloads on Amazon EKS and ECS/Fargate.
• Own infrastructure projects from design to deployment, testing, rollback planning, documentation, and handoff.
• Develop infrastructure as code, deployment automation, and reusable platform capabilities.
• Build and maintain deployment pipelines and automation for application modernization and reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues across OS, networking, containers, and databases.
• Improve monitoring, performance, and cost efficiency; implement security controls; manage upgrades and DR testing.
• Mentor engineers, contribute to standards, and participate in on-call rotations.
