Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional level cloud certification(s) in AWS, Azure, OCI or Google Cloud.
• Architect level certification a plus.
• 12+ years of IT experience with a combination of cloud engineering and related roles.
• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience with one or more vendor platforms.
• 5+ years experience debugging Windows or Linux systems in admin/support/engineering roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead configurations to meet program and customer needs with cloud deployments.
• Provide oversight on cloud strategies and serve as a cloud project lead.
• Act as SME for cloud solutions and provide engineering support to internal groups and customers.
• Draft detailed network, storage, and compute design specs for stable cloud operations.
• Develop cloud service strategies: IAM, Security Groups, CSP native services.
• Participate in migration planning and lead infrastructure deployment efforts.
• Train team on IaC, CI/CD, and architecture reviews to standardize cloud infrastructure.
• Translate high-level objectives into detailed technical requirements and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Validate operational requirements with project teams and client services for deployment and ongoing support.
• Review and refine documentation for best practices in server infrastructure and cloud computing.
• Identify potential new cloud services and features and plan accordingly.
