Southwest Airlines is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our Alabama-based team. You will design and evolve AWS cloud infrastructure, implement CI/CD automation, and guide SDLC tooling across multiple applications.

This role demands hands-on experience with IaC, Docker, container orchestration, and monitoring. Expect collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment on site in Alabama.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure as a service and automation tools like CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of AWS compute, storage, and security services.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate cloud offerings and architecture to assess strengths and weaknesses of alternatives.
• Implement automation tools and frameworks for CI/CD deployments.
• Collaborate with development teams to install and manage tools guiding SDLC automation and release management.
• Provide automation design for complex deployments across diverse applications.
• Lead design and evolution of cloud infrastructure on AWS.
