Job summary

SMX is seeking a Mid/Senior Project/Task Manager to drive enterprise cloud migrations for DoD environments. This role leads cross-functional teams across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and Kubernetes-based platforms, aligning scope, schedule, and budget with government expectations.

You will manage JIRA/Confluence workflows, coordinate with PMs and technical leads, and deliver briefs on progress and risks. A Secret clearance and 4+ years in IT/cloud management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4–7 years PM experience for mid-level; 9+ years for senior-level.
• Active Security Clearance: Secret.
• 4+ years IT/cloud management experience.
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, SAFe, and hybrid DoD delivery models.
• Interact with government clients, peers, management, and tech leads in evolving environment.
• Strong written, analytical, organizational, presentation, customer service, and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams through enterprise cloud initiatives across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Manage project scope, status, schedule, budget, resources, risk, and deliverables per contract and government expectations.
• Organize, assign, and track IT development tickets (JIRA/Confluence).
• Communicate project status through reporting to team, leads, PMs, and government management.
• Prepare documentation and briefs on project status, budgets, and schedules for customers and management.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and integration patterns.
• Experience with cloud transformation methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of cloud security protocols to protect data and systems.
