Job summary

Florida Power & Light Company seeks a Senior IT Programmer Analyst: Cloud DevOps to lead the engineering, automation, and governance of cloud data infrastructure across AWS and GCP, enabling scalable, secure data services powering analytics and AI/ML at NextEra scale.

You will architect, implement, and operate cloud data platforms with a data-first lens, driving FinOps practices and self-service capabilities for business units.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Cloud Platform Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Solid hands-on expertise with AWS and/or GCP, with production-grade cloud infrastructure experience.
• Databricks platform engineering experience, including workspace administration, Unity Catalog, compute, security, governance, and platform automation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD, including Terraform and GitHub Actions or equivalent technologies.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, or similar languages for platform engineering and automation.
• Experience with platform observability, incident management, resiliency, and production operational practices.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms in automated provisioning and workflows.
• Ability to work with technical workstreams and communicate with engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, integrates, and enhances systems.
• Applies Agile or development lifecycles, tools, and technology.
• Automates code releases from development to operations (DevOps).
• Participates in change management and service ticket processes, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Leads projects and builds understanding of solutions delivered.
• Ensures uptime, security, and compliance of IT systems.
• Defines metrics and monitors SLAs for developed systems.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
