Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Senior IT Programmer Analyst: Cloud DevOps to lead cloud data infrastructure across AWS and GCP. You will drive engineering, automation, and governance of data services powering analytics, AI/ML, and enterprise data products at NextEra scale.

In this senior role you will implement infrastructure automation via GitHub Actions and Terraform, enforce data access governance, and champion FinOps practices across cloud data spend, while serving as Tier 3 escalation for data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Cloud Platform Engineering/DevOps.
• Solid hands-on with AWS and/or GCP, producing production-grade cloud infra and data services.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, deploy, and maintain systems.
• Automate code handoffs from development to operations (DevOps).
• Contribute to change management and service ticket processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Lead projects and provide efficient, scalable solutions across cloud platforms.
• Define metrics and monitor SLAs for deployed systems.
• Ensure compliance with security, governance, and policy standards.
