GovCIO is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Cloud Data Pipeline (CDP) for the US Coast Guard in a 100% remote role. You will implement and sustain data ingestion and sharing across USCG environments using Confluent Kafka.

The role requires DoD 8570 IAT Level II, Java/.NET/Python, Linux administration, and RBAC PUMP processes, with an active SECRET clearance and experience with federal cloud architectures.

Formación

• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification in good standing (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP).
• Advanced programming/scripting experience in Java, .NET, or Python.
• Strong Linux programming and system administration background.
• Experience with Confluent platform and Apache Kafka for enterprise data streaming.
• Ability to complete the USCG PUMP RBAC process to obtain admin account tokens.
• Expert-level understanding of configuration management and system architecture concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Provide end-to-end engineering for the CDP lifecycle—implementation, maintenance, sustainment.
• Lead deployment planning and data ingestion/sharing across USCG cloud environments.
• Ensure compliance with USCG software, configuration, and security standards.
• Plan and perform routine maintenance to keep CDP uptime in designated environments.
• Oversee long-term sustainment and modernization of the CDP.
