General Motors is seeking a Data Engineer to design and operate scalable cloud data warehouse solutions, including an ODS, using Java, Flink, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL. The role emphasizes real-time data streaming, secure API access, and Azure-based deployment in a hybrid Austin-based environment.

You will mentor peers and help shape engineering standards. You will build streaming pipelines, optimize throughput and latency, and integrate Databricks with cloud data platforms while following CI/CD

Qualificações

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented design.
• Hands-on experience with streaming technologies (Flink, Pulsar, Kafka).
• Experience designing GraphQL APIs and with PostgreSQL.
• Experience deploying on Microsoft Azure and using CI/CD pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java services and distributed applications.
• Build and optimize real-time data streaming pipelines using Flink, Pulsar, and Kafka.
• Design and implement an Operational Data Store (ODS) with GraphQL and PostgreSQL.
• Develop GraphQL APIs for secure access to operational data.
• Deploy and operate applications in Azure with cloud-native patterns.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards.
