Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Data Engineer to lead architecture and evolution of cloud data platforms powering analytics and decision‑making across the organization. You will shape scalable data ecosystems, drive data governance, and mentor engineers in a fast‑paced, global environment.

Required skills include strong GCP expertise (BigQuery/Dataflow), Python and SQL, and experience with Snowflake and ETL/ELT frameworks. Prior knowledge of dbt, Terraform, and CI/CD is a plus.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading design and delivery of cloud data platforms.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern data solutions.
• Advanced with Python and SQL for scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with data warehouse/lake architectures (Snowflake).
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead architectural direction.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and governance to improve data reliability and security.
• Lead modernization initiatives, automation, and cost-efficient solutions.
