Job summary

CapTech is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Denver-area team. You’ll build and maintain advanced data pipelines that bring together data from diverse sources, enabling decision-makers across client environments.

You’ll leverage cloud data platforms to deliver scalable solutions and collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients. You’ll lead technical initiatives, mentor peers, and stay current with new cloud patterns and data technologies while helping clients achieve measurable outcomes

Qualifications

• Experience building/operating distributed data systems and pipelines.
• 5+ years delivering data engineering on cloud platforms.
• 5+ years with at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Proficiency with ETL/Data Orchestration tools and data warehousing.
• Strong SQL/NoSQL and data modeling knowledge.
• Programming in Python/Java or similar languages.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD practices.
• Cloud certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be trusted advisor to customers on data engineering best practices and technologies.
• Design, implement, and maintain modern data pipelines using cloud tech.
• Collaborate with product owners and SMEs to analyze requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and cross-team coordination.
• Stay current with cloud patterns and share knowledge with stakeholders.
