Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Data Architect and Solutions Engineer to lead data architecture and cloud-native solutions for space enterprise on a full-time onsite basis in El Segundo, CA, with occasional travel. You will design resilient data architectures and manage growing data volumes for DoD customers. Strong background in Python/C++, Java, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).

Security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, data engineering, software and data architecture development, or similar technical specializations.
• Strong technical leadership acumen and experience.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native data platforms and data management across on-prem and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DoD customers to deliver data architecture solutions.
• Design and implement data-intensive cloud-native applications.
• Lead development of scalable data platforms and architectures for space enterprise.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to prototype enterprise applications using public and private clouds.
• Support customers by managing growing data volumes and ensure performance.
