Job summary

You will work embedded with engineering teams as a core member of the Compute system architecture team. Applicants should have 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree, with deep hands-on expertise in Linux, KVM/qemu, Cilium, Docker, Kubernetes, and Go/Python/Bash.

Qualifications

• 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
• Extensive experience building and operating highly available, fault-tolerant distributed production services using virtualization and cloud-native technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of operating systems, Linux internals, virtualization technologies, and hypervisors.
• Solid understanding of containers and related technologies (systemd, docker, containerd, Kubernetes).
• Significant experience with Linux, Go, Python, Bash.
• Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS with experience in one or more public cloud offerings.

Responsibilities

• Own the system design and implementation, guiding engineering while aligning with the big picture.
• Build proof of concepts to inform design choices and technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers and product architects to inform product direction.
• Contribute to and shape the engineering roadmap with management and stakeholders.
• Develop best practices, share knowledge, and mentor others.
• Collaborate with engineering teams in an Agile environment fostering innovation and rapid development.
