Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a backend engineer to join the cloud authentication/authorization domain in the Platform product group. You will build scalable services for authN/authZ, partner with multiple teams, and ship production-grade code on a high-scale platform.

We look for Go expertise, distributed systems mastery, and a self-starter mindset. This hybrid role requires on-site presence in Sunnyvale 2–3 days per week and a strong drive to innovate at scale.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems
• 6+ years backend development experience
• Ability to scale backend systems (sharding, partitioning, horizontal scaling)
• Desire to ship production code and operate in production
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges
• Strong understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing
• Team-oriented with strong collaborative skills
• Knowledge of engineering best practices from testing to code reviews and resilient architecture
• Experience with AI technologies to improve decision-making and efficiency

Responsibilities

• Lead backend engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications
• Leverage and build cloud-based systems to detect targeted attacks and automate cyber threat intelligence
• Collaborate with multiple teams to define and build features
• Mentor other developers and learn new technologies
• Continuously re-evaluate architecture for performance and stability
• Own deliverables and take accountability
• Contribute to open-source projects and communities
