Job summary

MedAcuity, Inc. in Lowell, MA, seeks a Principal Software Engineer (Cloud) to lead design, development and testing of cloud-scale medical device software for our MedTech clients.

You will define software requirements, evaluate new frameworks, and mentor a team, shaping the project’s technical vision across Google/AWS/Azure, Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform/CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines. A strong backend language background and experience in regulated environments are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of software development background.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Google, AWS, Azure).
• Containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• CI/CD pipelines.
• RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven, serverless.
• Backend languages: C#, .NET, Python, C++, Java.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and lead the implementation of large-scale, secure, and resilient cloud-based systems.
• Define and drive cloud strategy, including microservices, containerization, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop on applications using languages such as C# and C++.
• Follow the full SDLC process with requirement specs, design, planning, reviews and artifacts.
• Provide complete expert engineering solutions to high-visibility client initiatives.
• Lead and mentor a team of Software Engineers to foster collaboration and pragmatic decisions.
• Build relationships across the organization.
