Job summary

Boston Scientific seeks a Principal Full Stack Developer to shape design and delivery of digital platforms that improve patient outcomes and connect medical devices. You will architect enterprise-grade apps across the full stack, from frontend to cloud-native back-ends, while fostering engineering excellence and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years in a principal/architect or technical leadership role.
• Deep experience in Node.js or Java and full-stack architecture.
• Experience building scalable microservices in AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong SQL database proficiency.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security, performance, and accessibility best practices.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams to deliver scalable full-stack solutions.
• Own architecture and end-to-end delivery of digital health platforms.
• Define cloud-native architectures using AWS, Azure and microservices.
• Drive modernization: cloud migration, API-first design, microservices shift.
• Set technical standards and scalable design patterns.
• Develop applications and APIs with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Java Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with DevOps and data teams to enable CI/CD and analytics.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, FDA and security requirements.
• Partner with product, UX, and QA to deliver user-centric software.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across lifecycle.
