Job summary

L3Harris is seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Cloud Architect to design, build, and deploy scalable AWS-based cloud solutions at Patrick Space Force Base. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and on-site work, with a focus on secure, cost-effective architectures using IaC tools.

You will partner with customers and engineers to translate mission needs into robust software capabilities, develop cloud roadmaps, and produce detailed design documentation.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required or ability to obtain.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or equivalent; 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Security+ or DoD IAT Level II certification required or can obtain within 80 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable cloud solutions on AWS.
• Develop IaC using Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with customers and engineers to translate mission needs into software capabilities.
• Prepare architectural designs and roadmaps for cloud initiatives.
• Deliver documentation and presentations to stakeholders.
