Job summary

Space and Earth Science Data Analysis is looking for a Senior Software Systems Engineer to develop cloud infrastructure for Earth Science data. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in container-based architectures and AWS serverless services to architect scalable systems. Ideal candidates should have extensive programming experience and the ability to manage projects efficiently.

The role entails strong collaboration within the team at NASA Goddard, interfacing with scientific data users and providing technical support. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of programming and system design experience supporting satellite mission data.
• Proficiency in scientific programming languages such as Python, Node.js, C/C++.
• Ability to maintain a Tier 1 Investigation through NASA.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy cloud infrastructure for data collections.
• Architect scalable cloud systems leveraging serverless and microservices.
• Solve complex data conversion problems with minimal oversight.
